Genesis 39:21 “But the Lord was with Joseph…”
God is always with you through all of your ups and downs. 3 things God shows you through your life. 1)If you keep the Lord with you you’ll advance even when it’s unexpected. Joseph’s brothers left him cause God was speaking to Him. People that should be patting you on the back might be trying to push you off of a cliff, but God is with you. God calls you His child and steps in the pit with you. It’s no one but the Lord.
2) You’ll be able to avoid the unnecessary. Don’t forget who blessed you. God expects you to act like you know who He is. The enemy ties to step in and distract you from the one who’s been with you the whole way. All of us need to know when it’s appropriate to walk away Or when appropriate, RUN like Forrest Gump. Many of us walk when we should run or vice versa. If it’s not going to give God glory, it’s not necessary. We mishandle God’s grace.
3)God will never leave you or forsake you, He is with you when you have to make a decision whether you’re going to leave or stay. It was better for Joseph to leave his coat then to leave his relationship with God. Sometimes God allows us to go from one moment of trouble into another. Don’t assume God has to bless you or let the sun shine every day, don’t assume the rain won’t come down every now and then because the rain will fall on the just and the unjust. Sometimes we underestimate His power. Sometimes it’s in the lowest of places that He displays His grace and mercy. It was in prison that God lifted Joseph up and showed Him mercy. Sometimes you just have to accept that it’s not in your control. We cannot discredit mercy and favor in our lives; we don’t deserve it, but God gives it to us, the unworthy.
God will give you rest.
