CUAB 1 Samuel 16:6-12
A lot of advertisements are about our wants and not our needs. Even though they are advertised to be needs to fit in or to survive in the world. (EX: Young lady you’re like a Lamborghini or Ferrari, you don’t need to advertise yourself!) God doesn’t need you to be trained in Sunday school or trained to sing worship songs in order to use you, He just needs you to be willing.

He’ll give you all the ability and opportunity you need to do what He’s calling you to do. It may not be immediate though. It’s not up to me to be successful, it’s up to the Lord. It’s not about me, it’s about Jesus and He’s going to give me all I need. Your life and your successes aren’t all about you, it’s about Jesus Christ. All of these advertisements in the world are all about you. How do you start giving in to temptations?:You start thinking about me. How do you start going back to your old ways?: start thinking and being about me.

Ephesians 1:11 God isn’t choosing you cause you’re the best looking or have the money or because you have the right job or coolest car…He’s choosing you because he knows you when you were in the womb and you were made special, and He chooses you because He loves you. He chose you knowing what you were going to do;  everything (including bad), He knew what you were going to do in your life. No matter what you’ve done, He hasn’t given up on you. God sent Jesus to die for you even though He Knew Everything you were going to do.

You’re God’s creation and He loves you. Not because you look the part, but because of what’s inside. When you accept Jesus, it doesn’t mean life gets easier and all of your problems go away; no, that’s not how it goes. Sometimes the problems get worse. No matter what happens here though, it’s as bad as it’s going to get. The journey is going to be worth the destination. He loves you and will forgive you, but He won’t change the consequences of your choices. He will be with you through them though. Satan knows how to push your buttons, but if God is for you, who can be against you? No one. God/Jesus is greater than He who is in the world.
