Jesus now is traveling, yes Edith, traveling on foot.  He has no caravan with buses, RV’s, and such.  Jesus is walking and ministering as he goes.  We talk all the time about letting our life and actions be the Bible others see.  We try and often fail;  Jesus tried and did and people would come to him. Let us look at a few of the scriptures and I would encourage you to read all, yes ALL of Matthew 8 & 9.
   In Matthew 8 his first encounter is with a man of leprosy.  The man speaks to Jesus and asks if he is willing to please heal him.  Jesus says he is willing;
And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him,
saying, I will; be thou clean.
And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.
Jesus healed the man, told him to tell noone but to offer himself to the priest and offer the gift that Moses commanded.  What Moses commanded is iLeviticus 14:1-7. I would encourage you to read this short scripture.
Next comes a centurion whose servant is ill.  He tells Jesus about his servant at which point Jesus asks if HE should come and heal his servant.  The centurion’s answer is quite interesting as is Jesus’ reply.
    The centurion answered and said,
Lord, I am not worthy that
thou shouldest come under my roof:
but speak the word only,
and my servant shall be healed.
The centurion says he is under authority and when it is said go they go; come and they come.  Jesus heard this and said he saw no greater faith than this man had and his servant was healed at the same hour.  Just the WORD of JESUS healed this man.  Isn’t this wonderful.  You, also, my friend have this power through the Holy Spirit that Jesus gave us.
There are more healings and I would encourage you to read the scripture link from above.  It will only take a minute or two (depending on how fast you read 🙂
The next verse I would like for you to read and think about is the 2 demon possessed men.  These passages begin in Matthew 8: 28 And when he was come to the other side into the country of the Gergesenes, there met him two possessed with devils, coming out of the tombs, exceeding fierce, so that no man might pass by that way.
The conversation that transpires here is quite interesting.  We all read this passage and think yea, Jesus cast out the demons and sent them into the pigs.  But look further at what is said.
29 And, behold, they cried out, saying,
What have we to do with thee,
Jesus, thou Son of God?
art thou come hither to torment us
before the time?

These demons are admitting that a time is set for their torment. They know they are doomed. They do not fight in hope of victory. They fight to drag as many of us down with them as they can.
Demons know that Christ will be the one to cast them into torment in the end. They recognize him and cry out, “It’s not time yet! You’re early!” Demons not only know they are doomed; they know who will most certainly defeat them–Jesus Christ. They fear him!
I have read this verse numerous times but skimmed over their oration to Jesus and focused on the fact they were cast into the swine feeding nearby.  Does this not awake you and alert you that satan and his demons know the ending but, as the saying goes, “misery loves company” and they want to take as many people as possible with them.  Wow, this verse really smacked me in the kisser today. Wowser!!!
Thank you for reading today. Please click the link and read the verses in Matthew about healing by Jesus. Love you all. Tomorrow Jesus and the Pharisees.  We go to a verbal war.
